Lil B the Based God is certainly setting the pace for modern music these days…he’s put out over 1000 tunes on the internet for free, and even if you don’t enjoy them all, you’re bound to find some stuff in there that you’ll dig. “Be Prolific” is not a bad strategy for any of us to consider as we go into this next year, fam… (Two of my favorite stories of 2010 have been Lil B and Minecraft; both are good examples of individuals on the outside fringe of their industry with a vision that was mostly ignored by mainstream outlets, but still resonated with so many people that they were able to go out and define their success on their own terms. It’s very inspiring. And now they both have Tumblrs!)
