Michael Jordan schooling some random guy named Chris Young
At 46, MJ does a standing reverse dunk and then continues to post up this guy and just knock down turn-around fadeaway jumpers.
When Jordan got deeper into his career and wasn’t able to fly through the air from the free throw line anymore, he instead turned his superpowers toward mastering this fadeaway jump shot. It’s extremely difficult to defend without fouling (as the video shows), and the older MJ was able to continue getting his 30+ points a night by just working this shot and torching people like that all season long.
As we get older, it’s a good thing to reassess our game from time to time and recalibrate our actions to better reflect our current strengths, in order to find an easier means to achieve our goals instead of getting stuck in patterns that don’t work the same way for us anymore. Otherwise we’re not always being honest with ourselves.
(Just one of the many life lessons I learned watching all those Bulls games. Sports can be enlightening sometimes, which is fun)
